Intervention One

Moot Court Training &
Competitions

We design and run rigorous moot court simulations and national inter-university competitions that serve as a proving ground for emerging legal talent. We are committed to increasing the number of these competitions so that this lawyer’s laboratory where students practice law in a realistic, simulated setting is no longer a rare opportunity for Rwandan law students, but a consistent and accessible platform.

Our moot problems are shaped by the real needs of Rwandan society, and we welcome any partner willing to join us in this strategic mission, whether through funding, judging, case design, or other forms of support..

Intervention Two

Professional Mentorship &
Career Transition

We bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice, ensuring law students transition confidently into the legal workforce. At the heart of this initiative are structured sessions with invited legal practitioners, judges, prosecutors, senior advocates, and experts from related fields, who guide students on how to move from school into practice.

These sessions pair students from all accredited Rwandan universities with direct, practitioner-led mentorship; open early access to clerkships, internships, and the wider professional legal ecosystem; and build the soft skills, ethical grounding, and professional etiquette required for high-stakes legal careers.

Intervention Three

Research & Public Legal
Awareness

We extend the impact of legal education beyond the classroom by producing student-led research that speaks to real issues in Rwandan law and by making legal knowledge accessible to the public. Through the Forum’s journal, law students examine emerging legal questions relevant to Rwandan society, feeding fresh perspectives into moot problems, policy discussions, and the wider legal community.

Alongside this, we run public legal awareness initiatives, talks, campaigns, and community engagements that demystify the law for the general public and reinforce the Forum’s role as a bridge between the legal profession and the society it serves.

Institutional Partnerships &
Collaboration

We recognize that building Rwanda’s Institutional Partnerships & Collaboration, Rwanda’s future strong legal institutions requires collective effort, not isolated action. We actively forge partnerships across the legal and academic landscape, transcending national borders to expand our reach and deepen our impact.
